Help Maui Rise: Directly Aid ‘Ohana Displaced by the Fires with Kenna Reed
Welcome to episode #56 of the Recover with Carly Podcast.
This week I sat down with Kenna Reed - one of the founders of Help Maui Rise, a project dedicated to providing aid to families displaced by the Maui wildfire that devastated the historic town of Lahaina and upcountry Kula on August 8th.
Throughout today's episode, Kenna shares with us what happened on August 8th, how families have been impacted and continue to be impacted, and why she and two others (Samantha Feyen + Gabby Pascual) decided to start Help Maui Rise.
Kenna shares how Help Maui Rise has evolved as well as how this disaster will impact Maui in the future.
I am so thankful for the work that Kenna, Sam, and Gabby are doing with Help Maui Rise & for their continued efforts to aid displaced families. I hope that we can continue to talk about Maui & help in anyway possible.
